New Neighbors

While walking around the bus, I noticed something odd on our front port wheel:

I guess it had been a little while since I moved the bus…
A few weeks later, they hatched.

Hello! I tried sending you a message using the contact form but it does not seem to be working. My message is below:

I’m Chris, a 33 year old guy who is the new owner of a 1998 Blue Bird All American! My girlfriend, Liz and I have been living in it for the past month down in Easthampton on some family property, but the spot is less than ideal and we are seeking more beautiful and peaceful options.

I came across your blog when looking for information about roof decks. Somebody linked to your blog from Skoolie while giving suggestions to another user who was asking for them.

I quickly noticed that you were living in the northern Pioneer Valley! Are you still here? I’d be amazed if there were other full timers sharing our journey within the hills of Western MA!

I would love to talk more if you know of any places where we can park for an indefinite amount of time. We both work in Easthampton and will continue to do so into the foreseeable future. We are willing to do whatever it takes within reason to nestle ourselves in the heart of nature and still make it to work in the morning!

The bus is fully equipped for off-grid living and was beautifully redone by the previous owner with a variety of wood throughout the interior. Solar provides our electric, propane for hot water and butane for cooking. Water is not a huge concern, as we can retrieve it from elsewhere.

Thanks so much and we are looking forward to your response!

    Best regards,
    Chris & Liz

      Hi Chris,
John forwarded your message to us. We are the rural landowners where John’s bus is parked. It’s a very secluded and remote but only about 10 minutes from I 91.
Please advise a bit more of what kind of deal you are hoping for and then we can meet…
      Mary and Keith
